Mus Budget App — Privacy Policy Last updated: October 14, 2026 In short: the developer of Mus Budget collects no data and operates no server. Everything you enter stays on your device, in a local database, and is never transmitted anywhere by the app on its own. Two optional features, Folder Backup and Sharing, can save an encrypted file to a cloud folder you choose — both are off until you turn them on, and the developer never has access to that file either way. What data the app collects None. Mus Budget stores all information you enter — income sources, budget items, budget periods, debt accounts, savings goals, notes, profiles, and any settings — in a local database on your own device. This data is never sent to Musreach, to any server we operate, or to any third party. We do not operate any backend server for this app. Account creation There is no account, sign-up, or login for the app itself. Any local PIN or biometric unlock you set up is used only to lock the app on your own device and is never transmitted anywhere. Folder Backup (optional) If you turn this on, the app writes one encrypted file containing a copy of your data to a folder you pick using your phone's own file picker — for example, a folder in your Google Drive. The file is encrypted on your device with a backup code the app generates and shows you. The developer never sees this code or the file and cannot open it. Anyone with both the file and the code can read it, so keep the code private; if you lose it, the backup cannot be recovered. Sharing (optional) If you turn this on, you choose which specific bills, income sources, and budget period dates to share with another person. Only what you choose, plus the name you type and whether each person has paid their part, is written to an encrypted file in a folder you pick. Another person can read it only if they have access to that folder and the share code you give them directly — not through us. Anything you don't choose to share stays private, and you can stop sharing at any time. What a cloud service can see If the folder you choose is in a service like Google Drive, that service's own app uploads the file, and its own privacy policy applies. It can see that a file exists — its name, size, and when it changed — but not its contents, which are encrypted. The app does not sign in to any cloud service and holds no login or access token for one; it only reads and writes through your phone's own file picker, the same way you'd save any other file there yourself. Backup and export (manual file) The app also includes a manual backup feature that exports a file, optionally encrypted with a passphrase you choose. Where that file goes (your device's storage, a cloud drive, email, a USB drive, etc.) is entirely your choice, made through your device's own share/save screen. Permissions The app requests two Android permissions: Internet (present due to underlying system components the app is built on, not used for any network activity of its own — Folder Backup and Sharing only write a file through your phone's file picker; any upload to a cloud service is done by that service's own app, not ours) and Biometric (used only if you opt in to fingerprint/face unlock; matching is handled entirely by your device's operating system, and the app never receives or stores biometric data). Analytics, ads, and tracking None. The app contains no analytics libraries, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. Children's privacy Mus Budget is a general-purpose personal budgeting tool not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
